bionic woman

 How it all began..............

When I was 2 years old, my mother took me to the doctors due to hearing a clicking sound in my left knee.     The NHS in all its wisdom decided that there was too much cartilage in the joint and duly removed some, but my bones were not finished growing. Things went OK for years, but as I got older I had an occasional 'football knee".

A skiing accident in 1986 caused my left ankle to shatter. The Dutch health service screwed it back together and after several months in plaster I could walk properly again.

However by the time I was 50+ my left knee was playing up.... and my right knee needed to be replaced as well. Now my left ankle has decided to join my other artificial joints. Luckily it can be repaired a fews screws!
They got the toolbox out again...

Once I can walk properly again, the next thing that needs doing is my bunion and hammer toes on my right foot. Watch this space!
