“As useless as a chocolate teapot”
It's an amusing English idiom, commonly used to describe something or someone that is a complete waste of time.
The origins of the phrase are somewhat obscure, as are many similar idioms to denote uselessness, such as a chocolate fireguard, a concrete parachute or a snooze button on a smoke alarm.
