2011 New Years resolution was to get fit and lose some weight. So I started eating less biscuits, chocolate and other snacks, plus cutting down by only drinking wine at the weekends.
Then I started water aerobics as well once a week in a nearby pool. It starts at the very civilised time of 10:30 am so one doesn't have to get up at the crack of dawn :~)
The pool is modern, doesn't smell of choline and the aerobics are in water which only comes up to one's chest - handy if you are afraid of being in deep water as I am !
The group is mainly older ladies, with a husband or two. A couple of the women with disabilities are hoisted into the pool by the instructor.
We use these foam dumbbell's which is actually rather hard work !!
I've lost a few kilo's already and hope to keep it up to lose several more this year :~)
