common sense....

Common sense: the most important thing we need to remember about common sense is that it isn't very common.

A friend mentioned this to me. I thought he was very original to have thought of that, but it turns out to be from Voltaire :~)

 Wikipedia has a really complicated philosophical explanation.

Defined by the Merriam-Webster as, "sound and prudent judgement based on a simple perception of the situation or facts."  Which sounds much more like it.

The website : "Common sense for animals" takes things one step further!

But "Common sense is an oxymoron".

But it's good to throw it overboard once in a while :~))
