Nowadays "Get Knotted" is an abusive way of telling someone who is bothering you, to go away.

Its origin lies in a naval term. When sailors were to be punished, they were required to make, by themselves, the "Cat 'o'nine tails" with which they would be lashed. The "Nine Tails" of the lash, had nine knots on each one. To "Get Knotted" was to order a punishment!
