I was involved in a discussion recently about a family member (who shall remain nameless) and why some people get on in life and others lag behind or don't even get to the starting post.
I'm not talking about super sized success, but just ordinary things like a job, a roof over your head and being self sufficient.
Children are living at home longer and longer nowadays as it's easy and they don't NEED to worry about shopping, cleaning, paying mortgage or taxes. They don't have any incentive to get out of their comfort zone and >>>>>>Most people of my generation (60+) have HAD to get their finger out and get on with life even if it meant taking low paid jobs sometimes and being very economically minded. We learnt the hard way that money doesn't grow on trees or just pop out of a slot in the wall.
