More auction madness........
This time it's racing pigeons
The brothers Janssen in Arendonk (Belgium) were ordinary working class men, but they built up a reputation for unique winning racing pigeons. Enthusiasts pay as much as 2,500 for an 8 day old chick !
At the recent auction the birds were sold for an average of 21.390 euros each !!!
The previous record was 10.000 in 2010
26 pigeons were sold in 20 lots. All of them going to China and Taiwan.
The most expensive pigeon was 'Princess'.
It certainly lived up to it's name and was sold for an amazing 50.600 euro !!
