Couchsurfing

A good friend of mine (age 60+) is somewhat strapped for cash and has been looking into couchsurfing as a way to get away on holiday...

It's an interesting concept that started in 2003. The idea is that you sign up, offer your couch (or maybe even a bed if you're lucky) to like minded travellers and so got a free place to sleep. 



Like fish, you are only supposed to stay a few day before you start to become unpleasant to be around !











I get the impression that it's mainly for and used by younger travellers, who indeed might end up on a rickety old couch in a grotty student house. But I might be wrong..............
